Public Toilets in Dogo at a Glance

The Dogo Onsen office manages 4 public toilets. There are also toilets at the Dogo Tourist Information Center and in Dogo Park.

Toilets at Dogo Onsen Station

Iyotetsu's guidance for Dogo Onsen Station does not list a toilet. The Dogo Tourist Information Center (Dogo Onsen Kanko Kaikan) is just outside the station, beside Hojoen, and has toilets. The information center is open 8:30–17:00.

Public Toilet at the East Plaza of the Honkan (Shinrotei)

It is on the east side of Dogo Onsen Honkan, across the prefectural road, and includes a rest area. The address is 1656-1 Dogoyuzukicho (道後湯月町). The men's room has 1 Western-style toilet and 2 urinals, and the women's room has 1 Western-style toilet and 1 Japanese-style toilet. There is also 1 ostomate-friendly accessible toilet with a baby chair and baby bed. In 2025, Matsuyama City introduced its first naming-rights agreement, giving the facility the nickname "Kansei Honest Toilet" (管清オネストイレ). Renovation of the exterior and interior is also under way.

Kanmuriyama Parking Lot, Asuka-no-Yu Courtyard, and Tsubaki-no-Yu

• Toilet at Kanmuriyama Parking Lot: Inside the parking lot. It has an ostomate-friendly accessible toilet with a baby chair and baby bed.
• Toilet in the Asuka-no-Yu courtyard: At the back of the courtyard, with an accessible toilet that has a baby chair and baby bed. A nursing room next to it is available every day from 6:00 to 23:00.
• Toilet at Tsubaki-no-Yu: Inside the Tsubaki-no-Yu building, and usable by people who are not bathing there.

Toilets in Dogo Park

Dogo Park (the Yuzuki Castle site) is managed by Ehime Prefecture. Prefectural materials list 6 toilets. The park is open all day, and the Yuzuki Castle Museum is open 9:00–17:00.

Wheelchair and Ostomate Access

According to Matsuyama City's accessibility guidance for Dogo Onsen, Tsubaki-no-Yu has 2 toilets for men and 2 for women accessible from the courtyard, as well as an ostomate-friendly accessible toilet. The changing-room toilets at the Honkan, Asuka-no-Yu, and Tsubaki-no-Yu are all Western-style with warm-water bidet seats. When the Hours Are Unclear

Etiquette

Public toilets are used by both travelers and local residents. If there is no place to dispose of items such as disposable diapers, take them home. Keep accessible toilets available for people who need them, including wheelchair users and ostomates.
