Yamanobe Honten
An outlet of the Yamanobe group of kappo restaurants, in Iwaidani, Matsuyama. It serves omakase kaiseki and lunch kaiseki using seasonal ingredients, and unaju made with domestic eel. It is in an area close to Dogo.
This is "Sojuan", an authentic kappo located in Iwaiya, Matsuyama City, operated by Yamanobe Food Service. According to the official website, focusing on kaiseki cuisine whose menu changes depending on the day's stocking, they offer the "Omakase Seasonal Kaiseki" (8,800 yen -) at night, as well as a selected ingredients order course where you can choose blowfish, spiny lobster, etc. Equipped with private rooms and table seats, it also accommodates dining for groups and families.
For lunch, in addition to the "Lunch Kaiseki" (5,000 yen) which requires reservations, they also prepare a daily set meal with drinks and desserts (from 2,500 yen), domestic eel unaju (4,500 yen), wagyu steak lunch, and single items such as zaru soba. Business hours are 11:30-22:30, and it is closed on Sundays. They accept various credit cards and have a private parking lot.
