Yamanobe Honten
An outlet of the Yamanobe group of kappo restaurants, in Iwaidani, Matsuyama. It serves omakase kaiseki and lunch kaiseki using seasonal ingredients, and unaju made with domestic eel. It is in an area close to Dogo.
This is a genuine kappo restaurant in Iwaidani, Matsuyama City, named "Sojuan" and operated by Yamanobe Food Service. According to the official website, centered on kaiseki cuisine whose menu changes based on the procurement of the day, in the evening it offers "Omakase Shun Kaiseki" (from 8,800 yen) and selected ingredient order courses where you can choose blowfish, Japanese spiny lobster, etc. Equipped with private rooms and table seats, it accommodates dining for groups and families.
For lunch, in addition to the "Hirukaiseki" (5,000 yen) which requires reservations, daily specials including drinks and desserts (from 2,500 yen), unaju using domestic eel (4,500 yen), Wagyu steak lunch, and single items such as zaru soba are also available. Business hours are 11:30 to 22:30 (Lunch section is 11:30 to 14:30, order stop at 13:30; dinner course is 17:30 to 22:00, order stop at 20:00), and the regular holiday is Sunday. It accepts various credit cards and has a dedicated parking lot.
