Overall Travel Schedule and Estimated Travel Time from Matsuyama Airport to the Dogo Onsen Area
When planning your travel from your arrival at Matsuyama Airport to your accommodation in the Dogo Onsen area, the central means of transportation is the direct limousine bus. The travel time from the airport to the front of Dogo Onsen Station is approximately 40 minutes.
The estimated travel times from the airport to the intermediate stops of the limousine bus are: approximately 15 minutes to JR Matsuyama Station, approximately 18 minutes to Ehime Shimbun-sha-mae, approximately 24 minutes to Matsuyamashi Station, approximately 29 minutes to Okaido, approximately 36 minutes to Kenmin Bunka Kaikan-mae, and approximately 40 minutes to the terminal stop, Dogo Onsen Station. Although the travel times are set as identical across multiple services, times may be adjusted depending on road conditions or flight arrivals.
Procedures for Moving from the Arrival Lobby to the Bus Stop
After the airplane arrives at the airport, retrieve your checked baggage at the baggage claim area and go out to the arrival lobby. From the international and domestic arrival lobbies, move according to the guidance signs for the outdoor bus stops.
Since the time required for retrieving baggage and arrival procedures varies depending on the congestion of the flight, check the route in advance to ensure smooth movement after arrival. Because the limousine bus departure times may be changed in accordance with flight arrivals, check the information boards or operation status near the bus stop after leaving the arrival lobby before boarding.
Limousine Bus Fare Payment and Supported Payment Methods
The adult fare from Matsuyama Airport to Dogo Onsen Station is 1,200 yen when paying in cash, and 1,180 yen when using cashless payment. By choosing cashless payment, a discount of 20 yen is applied to the adult fare. The child fare is half of the adult fare (rounded up to the nearest 10 yen).
Cashless payments accepted for fare payment include nationwide transit IC cards such as ICOCA, Suica, and PASMO (including mobile versions), as well as the region-specific "Mican App." Payment is completed by tapping the dedicated device when boarding and alighting from the bus. Please note that all services for the previously provided "IC I-card" ended on September 30, 2025, and it cannot be used for payment when riding.
Conditions for Using Digital Tickets
When using a combination of the limousine bus from Matsuyama Airport and the city tram (streetcar) within Matsuyama City, a special ticket called the "City Tram / Limousine Bus 1-Day Ticket" is available. The price is 2,300 yen for adults and 1,150 yen for children.
This ticket is not sold as a paper ticket and is provided only as a digital ticket. You must download the "Mican App" or the Jorudan "Norikae Annai" (Transit Guide) app to your smartphone in advance and complete the purchase within the app.
When making a round trip on the limousine bus between Matsuyama Airport and Dogo Onsen Station on the same day, the price of the 1-Day Ticket is lower compared to the simple round-trip fare (2,400 yen in cash, 2,360 yen via cashless payment). However, this ticket cannot be used to ride the "Botchan Train," which is a sightseeing train. Please consider your choice based on the date of use and the number of trips.
