The entrance to Matsuyama's main entertainment and covered shopping district. Business and city hotels are concentrated here, making it a convenient base for an overnight stay. It is also the closest tram stop to the Matsuyama Castle ropeway boarding area.
Boarding Information
- City trams: There is a safety island (tram stop) in the center of the intersection.
- Buses: Bus stops are located in front of Mitsukoshi and near the entrance to the covered shopping street. The airport limousine bus also stops here.
Additional Information
The Matsuyama Castle ropeway boarding area is a 5–6-minute walk from Okaido along Ropeway Street. Although there are many restaurants, the last trams run relatively early, between the 22:00 and 23:00 hours, so take care when traveling late at night.
