Aonono

This is an izakaya (Japanese-style pub) located in Ishite, Matsuyama City. Located at 2-11-37 Ishite, close to Ishite-ji Temple, which is the 51st temple of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, and Dogo Onsen, it is a shop with a calm atmosphere frequented by local customers. It mainly serves dishes that go well with alcohol, such as sashimi using fresh fish, grilled dishes, and fried dishes. It is situated in an area where residential and commercial properties coexist near the Ishite River, and is within walking distance from the Dogo Onsen area. It is a location where you can stop by for dinner or a drink in combination with a stroll around Ishite-ji Temple or the Ishite River. It has been operating for a long time as a community-based restaurant. The notice at the entrance (photographed by a contributor on October 22, 2026) reads "Yakitori Izakaya Aonono" and gives the hours as 17:30–22:30, closed on Thursdays and Sundays. Business hours, regular holidays, and the menu of the day are subject to change, so please check by phone or other means before visiting.
