Hyotan Dogo
Established in 1980, this is a restaurant specializing in Chinese ramen and oden. It is considered the originator of Matsuyama’s local ramen, Hyotan Dogo.
"Chukasoba & Oden Hyotan" is a ramen restaurant located in Dogo Takomachi, Matsuyama City. Founded in 1980, it is considered the origin of Matsuyama's local ramen style "Hyo-kei." It is said to have inherited the flavor popular at street stalls, and the interior mainly features counter seats derived from street stalls. It is characterized by a sweet soup using sauce in which chashu pork was marinated, accented by pepper sprinkled on top. It mainly serves chukasoba and oden. Located in an alley close to Dogo Onsen Honkan, the location makes it easy to use for a post-bath meal or a final bowl of noodles to wrap up a stroll around town.
