"Isago Chaya" is a Japanese cafe that opened on April 28, 2026, in Dogo Yunomachi, Matsuyama City, near the stone steps of Isaniwa Shrine. According to articles in Gogai NET Matsuyama and Machiraku Matsuyama, in addition to Japanese tea and sweets, the cafe offers a Taimeshi chazuke set limited to weekends and holidays.
Isaniwa Shrine is enshrined on a hill on the east side of Dogo Onsen and is known for the long stone steps leading to the vermilion-painted shrine buildings. Characterized by its calm location close to the approach to the shrine, it is easy to visit in conjunction with worshiping or strolling around Dogo Onsen, and can be used as a place to rest after a bath. Plans to set up a takeout window on the approach side have also been reported.
