New Dogo Music
A theater located in Dogo Yunomachi. It is the only surviving strip theater in Shikoku, holding performances with a system of clearing the audience between shows. Persons under 18 years of age are not admitted. During the day, an udon restaurant operates in the same building.
A theater located south of Dogo Onsen Honkan, in the area heading toward Shoninzaka. According to the operator's explanation, it is the only surviving strip theater in Shikoku. The theater explains that while there were approximately 300 theaters of this type nationwide at their peak, the number has now decreased to about 20, and because it is legally difficult to establish new ones, the number of surviving theaters continues to decline.
Performances run on a session system, and visitors arrive in accordance with the start times. One-day tickets that allow entry and exit during the day are also available. Inside the building, bringing in food and drinks, using smartphones, and photography are prohibited. Persons under 18 years of age are not admitted.
In the same building, an udon restaurant also operates during the daytime under the name "Kokoro no Yu Udon Kamaji."
It is a few minutes' walk from Dogo Onsen Honkan and is close to Asuka-no-Yu Sen and Shoninzaka. It is a facility that preserves the entertainment district aspect that Dogo has historically had as a hot spring town, and in recent years, fundraising campaigns have been conducted for the purpose of preserving the building.
