Seki Art Museum
A private art museum located in a residential area, a 5-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station. It holds modern Japanese paintings and Rodin sculptures.
This is a private museum located in Dogokitacho, Matsuyama City. The location is 4-42 Dogokitacho, and it stands in a quiet residential area about a 5-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station on the Iyo Railway. The museum was established by Seki Hironari, the founder of Seki Co., Ltd., a printing company in Matsuyama, to open his personal collection to the public. It houses approximately 500 works, displaying modern and contemporary masterpieces focusing on Japanese and Western-style paintings from the Meiji to Showa periods, including those by Yokoyama Taikan, Kuroda Seiki, and Fujita Tsuguharu. The works are rotated every season, allowing visitors to enjoy different exhibitions depending on the time of year. There is also a "Rodin Room" that collects Rodin's marble sculptures and prints. The estimated opening hours are from 10:00 to 17:00 (last admission at 16:30). Since the opening days and exhibition contents may change, please check official information before visiting.
