Ajikura

Ajikura

A local restaurant serving set meals, rice bowls and sushi made with Seto Inland Sea seafood. Tai-meshi can be compared in three different styles.

"Ajikura" is a local cuisine restaurant located in Dogo Yunomachi, Matsuyama City. It is situated in a corner of the hot spring town close to Dogo Onsen Honkan and Dogo Haikara-dori, making it a convenient location to visit in combination with hot spring touring and strolling around the town. According to the Dogo Onsen Official Area Guide, it serves set meals, rice bowls, sushi, and other dishes centered on seafood from the Seto Inland Sea. Among them, the Taimeshi (sea bream rice) is characterized by the fact that you can taste three types: Nanyo-style Taimeshi, Hyugameshi, and Chuyo-style Taimeshi. Ehime's Taimeshi has different cooking methods depending on the region, and Uwajima (Nanyo) style, in which sea bream sashimi is enjoyed with egg sauce, and Matsuyama (Chuyo) style, in which sea bream is cooked together with rice, are well known. The appeal of this shop is that you can compare those differences, allowing you to enjoy the local tastes of Ehime all at once.
