Dogo Park Observatory

An observation deck located at the top of the central elevated hill in Dogo Park, the site of Yuzuki Castle ruins. It offers views of Matsuyama Castle, the sea of Hojo, the Kutsuna Islands, and the Kururin Ferris wheel at Iyotetsu Takashimaya.

This is an observatory established at the top of the hill in the center of Dogo Park. Dogo Park is the site of Yuzuki Castle, which was the stronghold of the Kono clan, the governors of Iyo Province, and the observatory is located on the central hill of the castle ruins. In the Dogo Onsen Official Area Guide, operated by the Dogo Onsen Ryokan Cooperative Association and the Dogo Shopping Street Promotion Association, it is introduced as a sightseeing spot for walking.

According to the official area guide, it takes about 10 minutes to walk up from the bottom of the hill to the observatory at the top. From the observatory, Matsuyama Castle can be seen to the west, and further in the distance, the sea of Hojo and the Kutsuna Islands floating offshore can be viewed. To the left from there, Matsuyama City Station and the Ferris wheel "Kururin" on the rooftop of Iyotetsu Takashimaya are described as visible. The address is 1-4 Dogo Koen, located inside the grounds of Dogo Park (Yuzuki Castle Ruins).
