Daikokuya Dogo
A Japanese restaurant in the Dogo Onsen area serving udon and kamameshi. The udon is finished with the salt and water adjusted each day, the kamameshi is cooked one pot at a time, and marinated sea bream rice bowls are also served.
Daikokuya Dogo Branch is a Japanese restaurant centered on udon and kamameshi, located in Dogo Kitamachi, Matsuyama City. According to the official website, it was established in 1977, preparing noodles daily while adjusting the amount of salt and water according to the seasons and weather, and cooking each pot of kamameshi individually. It also offers rice bowls such as marinated sea bream rice bowls, as well as banquet and course menus.
Utilizing skills accumulated over many years focusing on kamameshi and udon, it is located in a position easily accessible from Dogo Onsen Honkan and Dogo Haikara-dori (shopping street). It is a convenient restaurant to use for dining between hot spring tours and city walks. Since kamameshi is cooked after receiving an order, being able to taste it freshly made is considered one of its attractions.
