51-ban Shokudo

51ban Shokudo (Gojuichiban Shokudo) is a diner located in Ishite, Matsuyama City. It is located on the approach to Ishiteji Temple, the 51st temple of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage, and manufactures and sells "yakimochi" (grilled rice cakes), which is known as a specialty of Ishiteji. It also serves light meals such as udon, soba, and oden. According to official information, the manager holds the qualification of an official guide authorized by the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage Association, and can also respond to consultations regarding the pilgrimage.
Ishiteji Temple is one of Matsuyama's leading ancient temples known for its National Treasure Niomon Gate, and the approach is lined with souvenir shops and restaurants. Among them, this shop is popular as a place to enjoy the specialty yakimochi and meals, and because it is located in the Ishite area close to Dogo Onsen, you can drop by during the pilgrimage or sightseeing.
