Ichiroku Honpo Dogo

Ichiroku Honpo in the Dogo Onsen district. A Japanese confectioner selling Ehime specialities such as the Ichiroku tart. There are two outlets: the Dogo shop and the shop in front of Dogo Onsen Honkan.

"Ichiroku Honpo" is a Japanese confectionery shop located in Dogo Yunomachi, Matsuyama City. It offers Ehime's signature confectionery "Ichiroku Tart" and other items, and is used by tourists for selecting souvenirs. The Ichiroku Tart is a sweet made by rolling gyuhi paste flavored with yuzu in a sponge cake (castella) dough in a spiral shape, and is known as a classic Ehime souvenir. In the Dogo Onsen area, there are two shops, the Dogo Shop and the Dogo Honkan-mae Shop, and their business hours differ. The Dogo Shop is open from 10:00 to 18:00 (until 19:00 on Fridays and Saturdays), while the Dogo Honkan-mae Shop is open from 9:00 to 19:00 (until 20:00 on Fridays and Saturdays). It is close to the Dogo Onsen Honkan and Haikara-dori, making it a convenient location to stop by for souvenir shopping during hot spring tours or town strolls.
